NACER ZERFAOUI
Pianist
Nacer Zerfaoui is a young pianist, composer, conductor, and professor of musical improvisation, born in 1999.
He began learning the piano at the age of 9 at the Montpellier Conservatory. 3 years later, in 2012, he won first prize at the International Piano Competition in Orléans, “Brins d’Herbe”.
After continuing his studies at the Strasbourg Conservatory, he entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris at the age of 16, and obtained his Master's degree in 2021.
In parallel with his studies, Nacer performs in concert in France and abroad (in Germany, Poland, as well as in Morocco and the United States). In 2018, he also responded to the commission for a work for France Culture radio, which was performed at the Salle Cortot (Paris) in 2019.
Finally, Nacer has been studying conducting for several years, and has been teaching improvisation at the Serge Rachmaninov conservatory since January 2021.
